Assessment will include a variety of forms. Guided notes will accompany the Nabburg PowerPoint presentation and students will be responsible for the vocabulary that accompanies the presentation. Students’ knowledge of new information and vocabulary will be assessed through verbal or written forms.
Students’ use of the conversational past tense in German will be assessed through verbal improvisations and role-play situations in which they will use their newly acquired skills. Students will compare and contrast the German and English past tense structure by switching between the two languages.
In order to assess understanding of a typical Bavarian culture and festival, students will recreate the most well-known Bavarian festival of all, Oktoberfest. The students’ understanding of typical Bavarian culture will assist in their planning of and participation in the festival. |
